California CASA is excited to host an in-person DEI Train-the-Trainer session at the new Hyatt Centric Downtown Sacramento hotel on September 21st and 22nd. After nearly 6 months of remote gatherings via Zoom, we are so excited to come together in-person to continue our learning and network.

California CASA is pleased to offer a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion “Train the Trainer” course for Board members and staff for local CASA programs. Washington Consulting Group developed a robust training plan structured to help us achieve our long-term goals to provide more culturally responsive advocacy, diversify our staff, volunteers, and Board members, and shift the culture of our organization at all levels.
The professional development series consists of three areas: Foundation, Theoretical, and Practical. Participants are gaining knowledge in community building, dynamics of power and privilege, DEI change process, engaging resistance, enhancing skills to facilitate effective interactions, and much more. The “Train the Trainer” experience has included required reading, development work, and group discussion beyond the training room. We have enjoyed seeing you all at the interactive online sessions and we are excited to have the opportunity to meet in person during this gathering in Sacramento on September 21-22, 2022.
